GUZHENG
Otherwise known as the Chinese Table Harp, this Traditional Chinese instrument features Hand-carved rosewood patterns or chinese calligraphy on the head stock. It has 21 strings and a 4 octave range.
ERHU
Played on the knee, this traditional Chinese instrument goes back centuries. It’s ancient sound is provided by a horsehair bow across 2 steel strings over a snakeskin head and bamboo bridge. Constructed out of rosewood or paulownia, these Erhu’s are a mainstay in any Chinese orchestra.
PIPA
Also known as the Chinese Lute, this 4-stringed finger-picking instrument features hand carved paulownia construction, redwood neck & pegs and an ebony fingerboard. This is a complex, sophisticated chinese instrument with outstanding playability.
MOON QIN
This 3-stringed brother to the Pipa features a paulownia body & tuning pegs and a redwood neck. Similar in style to the Pipa with a folkier sound and a shallower tone. An excellent companion to any Chinese String Ensemble.
